Senator Rita Sanders has a long history of promoting cycling in the heartland. As Mayor of Bellevue, she was involved in getting bike lanes installed along Fort Crook Road and the opening of the West Papio Trail Extension up to Q Street past the Tyson Plant.
As a Nebraska State Senator, she assisted in getting funding to complete the MOPAC Trail between Omaha and Lincoln. This will be the first trail that will link the two major cities in Nebraska.
We also talk about other projects and how enthusiast can help make a difference in cycling safety.
